Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Your business numbers are personal. This policy explains what information Biliora collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language wherever we can.

1. Who we are

Biliora (“Biliora”, “we”, “us”) is built and operated by DEVOZ DI MONACA DANIELE, Via Giamaica 11, 88900 Crotone, Italy (VAT / P.IVA 03928680796). We are the controller responsible for your personal information. For any privacy question you can reach us at daniele.monaca@devoz.it.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).
  • Business profile — the details you give us to set up tax tracking, such as your province, business type, and tax registration information.
  • Financial records you enter — the sales, expenses, invoices, and receipt images you add to Biliora so we can track your GST/HST.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Usage and device data — how you interact with the app (pages viewed, actions taken), plus device and browser information, collected through analytics and cookies to keep the product working and improve it.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • provide Biliora and calculate what you collect and owe;
  • process your payment and manage your account;
  • respond to your questions and provide support;
  • keep the service secure and prevent abuse;
  • understand how the product is used so we can improve it;
  • meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal or financial data. Full stop.

4. Service providers we rely on

We share data with a small set of trusted providers who process it on our behalf, only for the purposes above and under contract:

  • Google Firebase — account authentication and secure data storage.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — file storage and reading text from the receipts you upload.
  • PostHog — privacy-conscious product analytics.

5. Where your data is processed

Biliora serves Canadian businesses, and our providers may process data in Canada, the United States, and the European Union. When information moves across borders, we rely on the safeguards offered by these providers to keep it protected.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterward as we need to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time (see your rights below).

7. How we protect it

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to safeguard your data. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under Canada’s PIPEDA and the EU’s GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Your financial records are yours — you can export or delete them. To exercise any of these rights, email daniele.monaca@devoz.it and we’ll take care of it.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the product is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how Biliora works.

10. Children

Biliora is a tool for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app or by email.
